Event Description: College team has participated in the National level Patriotic Singing Competition in the Memory of Shahid Captain Rohit Kausal organized by Sohan Lal DAV College of Education , Ambala City on March 11th 2024 . College Team won First Position in Punjabi Folk Song.

Event Name:National Level Declamation and Poetic Recitation

Event Description:College team has participated in the Sudershan Kumar Bansal Memorial National level Declamation and Poetic Recitation Competition held on Feb 20th , 2024 at MDSD College Ambala City. College Team won the Overall Trophy in the Declamation event.

Event Description:On February 9th ,2024 Cultural committee organized an Essay writing Competition and Declamation Competition on the Topic “Dedicated Freight Corridor 2047 ke Viksit Bharat ka Adaar Stamb”22 students have participated in Essay writing and 08 students have participated in Declamation competition. Participants have secured First, Second and third positions in both the event and were selected for the further participation in Outreach Program of DGCCIL at Govt. College for women , Ambala City on February 12th , 2024.

Event Name:44th Inter Zonal Youth Festival

Event Description:Under the direction of Kurukshetra University ,Kurukshetra college team has participated in the 44th Inter Zonal Youth Festival organized on January 27th -29th , 2024 at D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Karnal. Total: 05 Students who have secured Recommended and commended position in the Zonal Youth Festival took part in 03 events i.e. Quiz , Poster Making , Cartooning of Inter Zonal Youth Festival. College Team secured 01: First Position in Cartooning Competition 01: Second Position in Poster making Competition.

Event Description:Under the direction of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra College team has participated in the 46th Zonal Youth Festival organized on October 18th -20th 2023 at GMN College Ambala Cantt. Total 25 Students took part in 19 events of Youth Festival. College Team secured 02: Recommended in Haryanvi Solo Dance Female, Cartooning 06: Commended in Poster Making, Quiz, Rangoli, Debate against the motion, Elocution, On the spot photography 03 : 3rd Position in Haryanvi Solo Dance Male, Sanskrit Declamation , Classical Vocal Solo

Event Name:Talent Search competition

Event Description:Under the direction of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra Cultural Committee Organized a Talent Search Competition on 8th -9th Sep 2023 in which Approx. 110 students have participated in 9 categories i.e. Dance, Singing, Quiz, Mono Acting, Mimicry, Playing Instrument, Quiz, On the Spot Painting, poetic Recitation competition. Participants have secured First, Second and Third position in all categories of the abovementioned events.

Event Name:Educational Trip to Harbir Nursery

Event Description:An Educational Trip to Harbir Nursery farm was organised on 22-04-2024 for the students of B.Sc. Medical. Twenty-one students visited the farm where they were welcomed by Mr. Harbir Singh (owner). The aim of the visit was to see the propagation, raising, handling and care of Nursery Plants. He devised some locally indigenous techniques/ practices to reduce the cost of pesticides, fertilizers by efficient and effective inputs, resources, water, lant, etc.

Event Name:Slogan Writing Competition

Event Description:World Earth Day is observed on 22nd April every year focussing on protecting the planet from things like pollution and deforestation and organising. To involve college students in the conservation movement, we Slogan Writing Competition on the theme Planets vs Plastics. Students of all streams participated in this competition to show their creativity and inventiveness through their slogans.

Event Name:Anaemia Detection Camp

Event Description:This camp was organised for girl students in collaboration with Zoology deptt. This camp was managed by the students of B.Sc. Med students. They tested the blood samples of 52 girl students.

Event Description:On the occasion of International Day of Forests students were briefed about the importance of this day and motivated to protect and nurture our precious woodlands also about their contribution by planting trees, supporting reforestation and ensure forest thrive. Students of all streams enthusiastically participated in this programme. Students were administered oath to contribute their services for Forest Protection

Event Name:Local Field Visit

Event Description:A Local Educational exploration was organized by Eco Club for the students of BCA-1st. More than forty students explored the different areas with Dr. Anju Tanwar, for the identification, study and collection of wild plants. The purpose of this exploration was to make students aware about the presence and distribution of local plant species which grew wildly in these localities. More than 30 species of angiosperms, 10 species of Gymnosperms, 3 mosses and 8 algae were recorded and collected.

Event Name:Plant And Adopt a Plant Activity

Event Description:Eco Club of our college contributed by motivating young scientists to contribute in making our fragile planet more sustainable and participating in plantation activity. Seedlings, and saplings of more than 200 flowering seasonal plants, fruiting and flowering trees were planted in the college campus by first year students. Students ‘Planted and Adopted a Plant’. Some plants were planted in the pots while others were planted in gardens of college campus.

Event Name:Plant and Adopt a Plant Activity

Event Description:Saplings of more than trees were planted in the college campus, first year students of different streams participated in ‘Plant and Adopt a Plant’ activity. All the first-year students were informed during their Value Added (EVS) lecture about the importance of Environmental health and their contribution in creating health-supportive environments. 34 students submitted and planted plants in the college campus with a promise taking care of those plants. Some plants were planted in the pots while others were planted in the Botanical Garden and other gardens.

Event Name:Poster Making Competition

Event Description:Eco Club organised Poster Making Competition on the occasion of International Day for the Preservation of Ozone Layer. This Day was celebrated to commemorate the signing of the Montreal Protocol, for phasing out of production and consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances. Eco Club took small initiatives towards conservation of our environment by organising poster making competition. Drawing sheets were provided to the students. Students of all streams enthusiastically participated in this competition to showcase their idea and creativity. Later students were administered oath to contribute their services for Environment Protection. Judgment duty was performed by Dr. Rohini Singh, Dr. Priyanka and Mr. Ashok. Winners were honored with Mementos and Certificates.

Event Name:College Level Science Essay Writing Contest

Event Description:College Level Science Essay Writing Contest for all U.G. Science students to showcase their scientific temper and originality of ideas. The topics of Essay were: 1. Impact of Technology on Telecommunication 2. Role of Robots in Modern Technology 3. Need of Intellectual Property Rights for Economic Growth 4. Role of Artificial Intelligence in Present Scenario 5. Human Impact on Climate Change Students from all science streams enthusiastically participated in this competition. Sheets were provided to all the participants. Best Ten shortlisted entries were awarded with certificates.
